Article 92: RESOLUTION / TRANSITIONING TO CLEAN HEAT IN MASSACHUSETTS¶

Description¶
To see if the Town will vote to support the creation of a strategic plan for the neighborhood-by- neighborhood transition from fossil fuels to clean energy; to request the state DPU, National Grid and Eversource to participate actively with the town in plans for a phased transition off natural gas (including among other things the use of advanced leak repair technology and retiring gas pipes by street segment or neighborhood after moving customers to alternative clean sources); and to send a copy of the resolution to relevant state executive and legislative officials and representatives of National Grid and Eversource; or take any action related thereto.
