APPROPRIATION / LONG TERM STABILIZATION FUND

Warrant Article Text:

To see if the Town will make an appropriation to the Long-Term

Stabilization Fund in accordance with the provisions of the

General Laws, Chapter 40, Section 5B, as amended, or other

appropriate provisions of law, determine how the money shall be

raised and expended; or take any action related thereto.

Report Excerpt:

The Finance Committee strongly recommends that Town Meeting

continue its long-standing practice of appropriating this amount

each year into the Long-Term Stabilization Fund into order to

protect the financial position of the Town and to reinforce the

Town’s strong bond rating.

Vote Language:

That the sum of $100,000 be and hereby is appropriated to the

Long-Term Stabilization Fund, said sum to be raised by general

tax.
