Warrant Article Text:
To see if the Town will vote to Extend the charge of the Affordable
Housing Overlay District Committee to 2027 Annual Town
Meeting to study and prepare prospective amendments to the
Zoning Bylaw and Zoning Map to create an Affordable Housing
Overlay District that provides more opportunities for housing
meeting certain affordability requirements to be constructed as of
right; or take any action related thereto.

Report Excerpt:
The Board recommends Favorable Action (5-0).
They were appreciative of the amount of work undertaken by the
Affordable Housing Overlay District (AHOD) Committee in a
relatively short amount of time. The Board was in agreement that
additional community outreach and further study of appropriate
parcels and draft zoning bylaw language would be necessary
before they could support any future amendments. The Board
voted in support of Article 38 to provide the AHOD Committee
with additional time to continue its work with the Redevelopment
Board and the community to develop a proposal for 2027 Annual
Town Meeting.
