TRANSFER OF FUNDS / CEMETERY

Warrant Article Text:

To see if the Town will vote to transfer a sum of money to the

Cemetery Commissioners for the improvement of Town

cemeteries, said sum shall be taken from the Mt. Pleasant

Cemetery "Sale of Lots and Graves" and/or "Perpetual Care

Funds"; or take any action related thereto.

Updated from May 5 Supplemental Report:

The Perpetual Care Fund balance is approximately $9.7 million.

The Sale of Lots and Graves Fund balance is approximately

$1.23 million. With expansion, the Columbarium is expected to

generate $652,800 in revenue.

That the Town transfer $270,000 from the Perpetual Care Fund to

the Cemetery Commissioners for the improvement of Town

cemeteries, and $500,000 from the Sale of Lots and Graves Fund

to the Capital Budget for the expansion of the Columbarium at

Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
