APPROPRIATION / 51A GROVE STREET BUILDING REPAIRS

Warrant Article Text:

To see if the Town will vote to appropriate a sum of money from

the Municipal Building Insurance Fund for the cost of emergency

repairs to 51A Grove Street; or take any action related thereto.

Report Excerpt:

In February 2026, building 51A Grove Street experienced a fire.

Damage to the building is covered by the Town’s Massachusetts

Interlocal Insurance Association (MIIA) policy; however, the

deductible, for which the Town is responsible, is $100,000.

Vote Language:

That the sum of $100,000 be and hereby is appropriated from the

Municipal Building Insurance Fund for the cost of emergency

repairs to 51A Grove Street; said funds to be expended under the

direction of the Town Manager.
